IAG Leaders Conference

A ground breaking conference that played a vital role in internal communications and staff morale, that incorporated cutting edge technology, renowned and hard-to-get speakers and a compelling live theatrical experience.

The Company Vision of NRMA Insurance is to be Australia’s Favourite Local Insurer. Since 2007 NRMA Insurance have partnered with the bgb team to create and produce their annual frontline leaders’ conference, which features COO Alex Harrison and his senior team communicating with every leader across the company in an enormous, vital, annual event.

The challenge in 2013 was significant: in a year of endless natural disasters, a fresh, inspiring and creative approach was required to motivate every leader to in turn inspire their specialised groups of employees.
bgb made this happen and 500 delegates journeyed through an eventful and surprising series of cleverly connected experiences.

Ground breaking technology such as a purpose built screen 20m x 8m and speakers appearing as interactive holographs via life-size vertical screens which seemed to grow from the stage floor were incorporated.

There were three remarkable breakouts:

  • Q & A with renowned journalist Ellen Fanning
  • A Future Room profiling customers, technologies and expectations of a precise five year future window
  • Team Time, a full theatrical stage experience.

Consequently the interactive business meetings that followed were highly inspired and productive.

The day finished with a coup for NRMA – the bgb team convinced TV star Andrew Denton to give a special closing address, the first time he had done so for any corporation in 20 years. Unsurprisingly, he brought the house down with humour, honesty and poignancy.
